Leaving on a Jet Plane

I’m thinking that for the next few weeks, I should turn this into one of those blogs where I teach you how to cook a five-course dinner using nothing but the coffee maker and hair dryer in your hotel room. Because I’m going to be in a different hotel pretty much every night! I leave this coming Sunday, April 29th and will be in SF, LA, Austin, Boston, Providence, Philadelphia and New York. A few weeks later, Portland, Chicago and points beyond.

The list below is what I know for sure so far, but I’ve also heard from Harvard Common Press that there are more events in the works, as well as some media appearances. I’ll post everything on Facebook and Twitter as soon as I know anything definite, and I’ll also keep my events page updated. If there is any spare time, I’ll also try to send out some informal “grabbing a beer, come hang out” tweets.

I hope to meet lots of you! This is gonna be fun!

  1. hope to see you in the boston area! not sure which i will make, but one of them!

my wife pre-ordered your book for my recently passed birthday. looking forward to its arrival.

    safe travels,

    ben

  2. Just found your site. We’ve been cooking meat-free for the last 3 months and the recipes from herbivoracious are comprising this week’s menu in our home. We had the polenta with peperonata tonight and loved it, but being a southern gal I love anything that resembles grits. I wish your book signing were coming to Atlanta. Does herbivoracious come from “Dinosaur Train”? It’s the only other place I have ever heard this term, but being a mom of 4 small children, I don’t get out much. Thanks for the inspiration with my cooking. I’m looking forward to some good eating!

    1. That’s awesome, someone else asked me about Dinosaur Train once… I don’t think I’ve ever seen it. Nope, it was just a made up word that a friend came up with, combining Herbivore and Voracious. I’m glad you made and liked the peperonata! That stuff is good on anything.

  3. Michael,

just got your book delivered. my wife ordered it for my recent birthday. beautiful!

  4. Wish I could attend one of your events…but I still plan on ordering your book and getting it shipped overseas. Safe travels!

  5. Michael, congrats! I hope you have an excellent tour. Make sure you enjoy yourself in all that running around, and keep a look out for some nice craft brews in all those cities you’ll be traveling in (always helpful to relax with).
