Herbivoracious.com (“the site”) is a personal food blog run by Michael Natkin. This policy explains what information the site collects and how it is used.

Information we collect

Analytics. If you accept cookies, the site uses Google Analytics to measure traffic and understand which content is useful. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded.

Server logs. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may log technical data such as IP addresses as part of operating the service.

Email. If you email me, I use your address only to reply.

The site does not have user accounts, and it does not accept new comments.

Third parties

  • Affiliate links. Some links, including those to Amazon, are affiliate links. If you buy through them, I may earn a small commission at no cost to you. The retailer or its affiliate network may set cookies when you click through, under their own privacy policies.
  • Skimlinks. If you accept cookies, the site uses Skimlinks, which turns some product links into affiliate links. Skimlinks sets cookies and collects information about your visit and the links you click, under its own privacy policy. If you decline, Skimlinks is not loaded.
  • Embedded content. Some posts embed videos from YouTube, which may set cookies when the video loads.
  • Fonts. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads.

I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it with third parties except as described here.

Your choices

You can accept or decline cookies in the banner shown on your first visit, and change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. The site treats a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a decline. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including California and the European Economic Area, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information held about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email me at the address below. Residents of the EEA also have the right to complain to their local data protection authority.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their personal information.

I may update this policy from time to time. The date above shows when it was last revised.
