Hello and welcome to Herbivoracious! If you’d like to eat more meatless meals that put pleasure first and skip the preaching, you are in the right place.

A little about me: I’m Michael Natkin; I’m a Seattle-based chef, blogger, and cookbook author. You can read more about how I went from 30 years in the world of computer graphics software to pursue my dream on my about page.

The Recipes

You’ll find meatless recipes (400+ and counting) that are boldly flavored, satisfying, and beautiful I love to draw inspiration from cuisines around the world, and stay abreast of the latest developments from the best chefs, then apply all of those ideas to create vegetarian dishes that you can rock at home. Some are more rustic, quick family meals while others are fancy enough for a dinner party. In my store you’ll find the best tools, cookbooks, and ingredients that stand the test of time. So much kitchen gear is just pointless gimmickry that wastes space, breaks down, is hard to clean, or only can do one job. My Cookbook

In early 2012, I released my first cookbook, Herbivoracious: A Flavor Revolution with 150 Vibrant and Original Vegetarian Recipes. It has been on Top Ten lists from National Public Radio and Amazon.com, received kind reviews from the Chicago Sun-Times and the Boston Globe, and is in a second printing.     I adored your World’s Best Vegetarian Chili which I used to find online – what has happened to herbivoracious.com ? The format that I find is honestly not good and a lot of the links dont work – I guess if I dont hear back from you I’ll know that it is defunct…..Best wishes
